Just learning here, so our accommodation is up and running. We have had a few guests to date but there is one i would like to tell you about. A lot of people know this chap, first hand, his name is Murphy's Law. So a few weekends ago we had our first guests. They were a couple from Johannesburg attending a wedding down in Natal in a place called Msinga.
So everyone is quite excited and all the staff cannot wait to see guests in the chalets. Tess and I are running around making sure the last minute things are up and running. I was away for the morning helping with a bike ride a couple of farmers are putting together in the area. Whilst cooking breakfast for a group of riders my phone will not stop ringing. I manage to answer it between flipping burger patties, and its Tess saying the geyser in the guest chalet has burst. First thing i did was curse Murphy's law, and the last thing was to switch the water back on after fixing the faulty pressure release valve. Safe to say the guests room was not damaged but the other two rooms will need the ceiling replaced.
Anyway our guests arrived, had a great weekend. They experience some classic midlands weather. Nice sunny and hot day up unto about pm and the mist pulled in accompanied with a light drizzle. Safe to say the fires were light, a whiskey and glass of wine poured and our new favorite Netflix series put on the telly.
